Time to Work

The Time to Work service is a Port Lincoln prison programme to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prisoners access the support they need to be better prepared to find employment and reintegrate into the community upon release from prison.

Time to Work is delivered by Complete Personnel’s culturally competent specialist staff.

What services are available?

As part of the Time to Work service, participants will receive:

  • a comprehensive assessment of their employment barriers;
  • assistance to develop a detailed transition plan; and
  • a facilitated transfer from their in-prison service provider to their post-release employment service provider.

Who is Eligible?

To participate in the Time to Work Employment Service, a prisoner must be:

  • A self-identifying Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander;
  • Over 18 years of age; and
  • Sentenced and within three months of their release from prison.
  • Participation is voluntary.
