Indigenous Youth Employment Consultants programme

What is the Indigenous Youth Employment Consultants programme?

The Indigenous Youth Employment Consultants (IYEC) programme provides support and encouragement for Indigenous young people aged 15 to 19 to stay in education or move into training and/or work.

Where is Complete Personnel’s IYEC service available?

Complete Personnel is contract by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) to deliver the Indigenous Youth Employment Consultant (IYEC) services from our Job Network sites at Port Augusta and Enfield in South Australia.

Who is the IYEC programme for?

The programme is for Indigenous young people (15 – 19 years old) who:

  • are not going to school;
  • want to continue with their education and training but would benefit from extra support; or
  • want to join the workforce.

How does the IYEC programme work?

Our Indigenous Youth Employment Consultants work closely with Indigenous young people and their families, local communities and businesses, schools, vocational educational and training providers and other Job Network providers to help Indigenous young people stay at or return to school, get some training or get a job.

What do you need to do to access our IYEC programme?

If you’re a 15-19 year old Indigenous person and want to know what your options are for your future, our Indigenous Youth Employment Consultants are available to help you.
