OHS&W Policy
In this document Complete Personnel Group means Complete Personnel SA Pty Ltd and Complete Personnel Australia Trading as Complete Personnel, Complete Personnel Group Pty Ltd trading as Complete Personnel Recruitment and Complete Apprenticeship and Traineeship Services and Access Training SA Pty Ltd.
The Complete Personnel Group recognise that our employees and on-hire employees have a right to work in a safe and healthy environment and are committed to maintaining a high level of occupational health and safety in all aspects of its operations.
It is the Complete Personnel Group ’s aim to minimize the risk of work related injury/disease to employees and on-hire employees by having a planned approach to the management of occupational health, safety and welfare and to develop and maintain close relationships with all clients.
The objectives of this policy are to ensure:
* the identification and elimination of all hazards and risks to health and safety within the work environment. Where this is not practical, to minimise and control all hazards and risks.
* employees and on-hire employees receive information, induction, supervision, and where required, the training they need to safely undertake their responsibilities.
* all employees and on-hire employees are provided with a safe and healthy working environment.
* employees participate and contribute to all occupational health and safety issues that affect their work environment.
* systems to identify and control hazards in the workplace are implemented and maintained.
Responsible Officer
* The CEO as the Responsible Officer has the overall responsibility to provide a healthy and safe workplace for employees and will ensure adequate resources are provided to meet the health and safety objectives and strategies of the company.
Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator
The Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator has the responsibility to coordinate Complete Personnel Group ’s management of health and safety on behalf of the CEO.
In particular the Occupational Health and Safety coordinator has a responsibility to:
* monitor and advise on legislative and technical changes relating to health and safety.
* provide regular reports to the Leadership Team and Health and Safety Improvement Team on Complete Personnel Group ’s occupational health and safety performance.
* coordinate the development and implementation and review of health and safety policies and procedures.
* assist Team Leaders and Senior Recruitment Consultants to identify and eliminate hazards and risks to health and safety.
Team Leaders and Senior Recruitment Consultants
Team Leaders and Senior Recruitment Consultants are responsible in their area of control to ensure:
* the health and safety of employees, and members of the public.
* relevant health and safety policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
* all risks to health and safety are identified, assessed and effectively controlled.
* employees training and development needs are identified and implemented.
Safety Contact Officer
* The Complete Personnel Group will maintain a Safety Contact Officer in each site to assist in identifying and resolving health and safety matters.
* The role of Safety Contact Officers is to:
* assist management in the identification of hazards and undertake workplace inspections.
* make representation to management.
* investigate complaints prior to representation to Management.
Safety Improvement Team
* The Complete Personnel Group will maintain a Safety Improvement Team consisting of Management and employee representatives. The Safety Improvement Team will be the principle forum wherein Management consults with employees on broad health and safety policy issues.
* The responsibilities of the Safety Improvement Team are to:
* assist in the development, monitoring and review of health and safety policies and procedures.
* consider proposals for, or changes to the workplace, policies, work practices or procedures which may affect the health and safety of employees.
* promote the importance of health and safety throughout the Company.
* monitor the company’s health and safety performance.
Employees and on-hire employees
* Employees and on-hire employees are legally required to protect their own health and safety and to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of any other person.
* Employees have a responsibility to:
* report any unsafe conditions, hazards or incidents which they notice at work;
* comply with all written and verbal health and safety instructions of Complete Personnel Group or the host employer;
* co-operate with the Safety Contact Officer at Complete Personnel Group or the host employer;
* Correctly use, AT ALL TIMES, safety and protective equipment;
* insist that all actions are carried out in a safe manner;
* ensure that they are not affected by alcohol or any other drug, which may endanger their own, or any other persons’ heath and safety.
Host Employers
All of Complete Personnel Group’s Host Employer’s are responsible for the provision of a safe work place including the maintaining of plant and equipment in a safe condition, provision of information, induction, instruction, training and supervision as required to ensure the on-hire employees safety.
